ForeScout SKO 2018 - Welcome to N’awlins!
When most people think of New Orleans, they think of Mardi Gras and Jazz, Bourbon Street and gumbo, a cafe au lait and a beignet; not sales goals and sales training. But we’re here to ask why not?
Having your corporate event in an unconventional destination like New Orleans can offerbuilt-in value. A destination rich in culture and history is a big draw for attendees. It raises the excitement for your event, and it gets your company out of the same SKO routine. We guarantee your attendees will feel the difference as soon as they stop off the plane. We’ve experienced this most recently while working on ForeScout’s 2018 Sales Kick-Off.
By 2017’s end, ForeScout found themselves with over 2,500 customers globally, and has made its name across Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies. And they went public at the NASDAQ, making 2017 quite a year for the award-winning IoT security company. ForeScout deserved an event that would be as notable as the year they just had. And they needed their 2018 Sales Kick Off to mark the start of another great year with high expectations.
With SugarCRM’s approval, Vision went all in to create the Sugar Hero world. Sometimes clients can get nervous about being too thematic for their conferences, but SugarCRM really dared to be different and gave us the freedom to take every opportunity to reinforce the theme.
And that is how we found ourselves in the Big Easy.
Taking it to the next level, our production team created custom animations for the stage graphics. We commissioned an artist to hand draw comic book characters of every mainstage speaker, and brought them to life by creating motion comic animation videos for each mainstage segment.
ForeScout’s guests were welcomed with NOLA’s rich colors and flare, especially since their Sales Kick Off was scheduled just as Mardi Gras season amped up. Checking in to the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans came with a walking culture exhibit. The hotel was packed with people in full ball gowns, some dressed in tails, and some decked out in elaborate Mardi Gras costumes, all attending traditional social club events. It was a vibrant scene painted in the traditional purple, green and gold tableau.
Even the sounds of the city surrounded ForeScout’s SKO experience. Many attendees were intoxicated by the native Creole speak and the never-ending live Jazz, so of course Vision incorporated the local sounds into ForeScout’s SKO production. We arranged for a Jazz Band to open General Session with a private performance just for the ForeScout Team.
The ForeScout SKO experience extended way past the Hyatt Regency walls. When you’re in a city packed with so much to do, there’s an endless selection of venues or outside activity options. ForeScout took their party to Bamboulah’s; once a historic print shop but now the go-to venue on Frenchmen Street. The ForeScout Team savored local food and drink favorites while they enjoyed live Jazz. And if any one was curious about what else New Orleans had to offer, exploring the rest of the city was easy because there was so much to do in walking distance.
You’re probably wondering how much all of this authentic culture costs in terms of your SKO budget.
